A Journey With Oxygen- Onireti Esther

, hydrogen journey to the atmosphere with oxygen today.

I live on the surface of the earth, but I have family members who live in the sun, the stars and even Jupiter.

Oxygen and I make ourselves gaseous for this journey.
We are affected by temperature, humidity, wind speed and solar radiation, and though all of these try to break us, we stand stronger and transform better into a combined gaseous state.

From the oceans we journey,
from the soil we journey,
from the snow and even the ice we journey,
day and night, we journey.

Though I can travel with nitrogen, halogens, and yes carbon!
oxygen is my favorite companion.
With oxygen I exist abundantly.

Oh my readers, don't get lost,
I and oxygen journey to form rain.
Our journey brings you that scent of fresh storm,
and our delicious feel dripping down your skin makes you want to stretch your arms to the sky happily

Chem-preneur

We come down from the sky soft as we do not contain salts, minerals, and we haven't been treated with chemicals.
We come as rain, and have the right pH needed for plants to grow,
we contain macro-nutrients that fosters their growth, and unlock micro-nutrients present in soil.

But, we are affected by you
yes you, my dear pluviophile
you destroyed the trees we water
and used it to make houses for yourself when you could use metals, concrete or bamboo.
You increased green house gases,
and when we respond to your bad behavior harshly you blame us for not being that sweet, gentle rain.

Dear reader,
Let us be your clean drinking and cooking water,
Let us water your garden and decorate your house,
Let us fight drought in your land and make your life beautiful.
Let oxygen and I be your favorite compound.
