A Letter From Chemistry

Dear Human, 

I feel really shy writing to you, 

My heart is hard like diamond and my hope of finding true love is darker than graphite,

but now, my heart longs for you; I can't stop myself from looking for new methods to please you.

But the sad part is; even when I involve myself in everything you love so as to get noticed by you you don't always notice me,

you always perform chemical reactions without thinking about me.

Do you hate to see my face? or have I become a norm to you?

I am always there when you breathe,

when you eat,

when you lie to sleep, but you don't seem to know.

You prefer Maths and Logic to me, you think they are more smarter than I am. 

If only you knew, that Maths secretly comes to me for help, and Logic would never exist without me.

I see how you look at Biology, you feel she is more beautiful, have you forgotten that I am her foundation?

Isn't the rusting of iron, the slacking of lime, and the fermentation of substances chemical changes?

Or is the discovery of the smallest part of an element, the reactions of compounds and the separation of mixtures not part of me?

Is there anything that has mass and occupies space which cannot be traced to me?

Why then do you not value me?

Oh my love, when will you realise that I am your world?

I tell you how I feel because my heart is tied to you and I love you heart and soul.
